The Plus-Sized Elf anime has just revealed its release date on the official website. The ecchi fantasy anime will join summer 2024's stacked anime lineup, promising a funny albeit risque entry to the season.
Plus-Sized Elf Reveals July Release Date
The anime's official website has announced that the Plus-Sized Elf anime is set to premiere on July 6, 2024. It will be released on Tokyo MX, BS11, AT-X, d Anime Store, and DMM TV in Japan.
Meanwhile, HIDIVE has confirmed that it will stream the Plus-Sized Elf anime as part of its summer 2024 anime lineup. The company will stream the ecchi anime's episodes as they are released in Japan.
Earlier, HIDIVE President John Ledford said that the company is “excited” to release this new comedy series as part of its simulcast lineup this summer.
“Without a doubt, fans can expect some extra-large laughs from what is sure to be a larger-than-life comedy. Get ready [for] some fun!” Ledford added.
It's interesting to see an ecchi anime get a simulcast announcement from HIDIVE months before its premiere.
It is worth mentioning that the platform has recently released several notable ecchi titles, including the popular anime Chained Soldier and Gushing Over Magical Girls, so it isn't too surprising that HIDIVE might want to expand its roster of successful ecchi anime.
Plus-Sized Elf Features a Unique Twist on the Anime Elf Trope
The Plus-Sized Elf anime revolves around Naoe-kun who is a massage therapist. He is about to head home for the day when he is assigned a rather unusual patient.
This beautiful lady has emerald eyes and pointy ears, and it is revealed that she grew up in a forest. She is the perfect definition of an elf, except for her curvaceous figure.
After leaving her world, she developed an insatiable craving for junk food in the modern world, and it has taken its toll on her health.
Can Naoe-kun help this beautiful elf girl reclaim her slender figure and maintain it?
