Pedro Pascal has doubled down on calling out J.K. Rowling over controversial views on transgender rights.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps star has been a critic of the Harry Potter author, especially in the aftermath of the U.K. court ruling that transgender women are not legally considered as women. He called her comments "heinous loser behavior."

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Pascal addressed his criticisms of Rowling and the importance of defending the rights of the transgender community, including his sister, Lux.

He said that he felt like "that kid that got sent to the principal’s office a lot for behavioral issues in public schools, feeling scared and thinking, ‘What’d I do?'"

When Rowling celebrated the U.K. court ruling, Pascal knew that he couldn't be silent about the matter and needed to be outspoken.

"The one thing that I would say I agonized over a little bit was just, ‘Am I helping? Am I f****** helping?’" he explained.

"It’s a situation that deserves the utmost elegance so that something can actually happen, and people will actually be protected. Listen, I want to protect the people I love. But it goes beyond that. Bullies make me f****** sick."

Pascal's other sister, Javiera, has also defended her brother's public stance. "But it is heinous loser behavior. And he said that as the older brother to someone saying that our little sister doesn’t exist," she said.

What Does Pedro Pascal Think of the J.K. Rowling Defenders' Backlash Against Him?

Ever since Pascal's comments against Rowling became viral, some of the author's defenders have attempted to start a backlash against him.

They resurfaced a viral video that showed Pascal taking his Fantastic Four co-star Vanessa Kirby's hand at the Comic-Con stage, where they made it seem that he was crossing the line.

While Pascal did not react to the attempted backlash, Kirby defended her co-star's actions on that viral moment.

"What happened is we were both incredibly nervous going out in front of thousands of people who love this comic," she explained.

"He wanted me to know that we were in this together, and I found it a lovely gesture and was very glad to squeeze his hand back."
