Emmy-winning actor Sterling K. Brown is set to star in the upcoming Hulu drama series Paradise.
The project will also mark his reunion with This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman, who will serve as the showrunner of the highly-anticipated series. For months, the details of Paradise have been kept under wraps until now.
What is Hulu's New Series Paradise All About?
Paradise is described as a drama that is "set in a serene, wealthy community inhabited by some of the world's most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high-stakes investigation unfolds."
Specifically, Brown's Secret Service agent character gets accused of killing the President of the United States, and the investigation on whether he is indeed the suspect or not.
Filming began earlier this year around the same time as Brown received his first Oscar nomination for his acclaimed supporting performance in American Fiction.
When the series was first announced, the details were being kept under wraps except that it is a thriller and is set in a high-stakes political arena. Now, we finally have an idea of its unique concept.
Who is Starring in Hulu's Paradise?
Aside from Brown, Paradise also stars James Marsden (Dead to Me), Julianne Nicholson (Mare of Easttown), and Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life).
Marsden will be playing the President of the United States, Nicholson is playing a mysterious political operative, and Shahi's role is described as a "therapist whose client roster has a lot of important names on it."
The rest of the cast is consists of Nicole Brydon Bloom, newcomer Aliyah Mastin, and Percy Daggs IV.
When is Hulu's Paradise Coming Out?
Hulu has announced that Paradise will be premiering its first three episodes on January 28, 2025. New episodes will release weekly after.
Audiences who are curious to watch the series should anticipate for more promotional material in the coming weeks leading up to its premiere early next year.
