In between illustrating new chapters, it’s impressive how Oshi no Ko co-creator Mengo Yokoyari can find time to create this beautiful Mirko art from My Hero Academia.
Funnily enough, this isn’t a commissioned piece for the popular shounen series. Instead, it is one that Yokoyari did for herself.
This should come as no surprise to those who follow the artist’s Twitter.
After all, Yokoyari is known for being a prolific artist who shares many illustrations of her favorite characters from a variety of series.
Mengo Yokoyari the Professional Fan Artist
Mengo Yokoyari is the co-creator of Oshi no Ko alongside Love Is War author Aka Akasaka.
While Akasaka sticks to writing the series, Yokoyari is in charge of illustrating the manga.
Yokoyari isn’t just an illustrator though as she has also created serialized titles by herself.
For instance, there’s the drama manga Scum’s Wish that she worked on from 2012 to 2017.
While she’s currently busy with Oshi no Ko which is a huge hit, Yokoyari still creates beautiful illustrations of her favorite characters from series such as Chainsaw Man.
Most recently, Yokoyari shared an eye-catching drawing of Power in her signature art style.
This is just one of the many Chainsaw Man fanart that she has shared online over the years.
Aside from making her love for Chainsaw Man clear (including a reference within Oshi no Ko), Yokoyari is also a huge fan of My Hero Academia.
In fact, she has previously shared illustrations of the various Pro Heroes before.

Oshi no Ko’s Mengo Yokoyari Shares Mirko Illustration
Now, Yokoyari is back, and this time with a drawing of the fan-favorite Mirko (aka Rumi Usagiyama).
This comes fresh after the latest anime season where Mirko played a big role in the early parts of the arc.
Instead of drawing Mirko in her Pro Hero outfit though, Yokoyari went with a different take.
Specifically, this Mirko illustration imagines her in a uniform that gives her a more casual vibe compared to her typical look.
As Yokoyari’s art is no doubt beautiful, it’s no surprise that lots of Oshi no Ko and My Hero Academia fans shared their love for the illustration in the replies.
Plus, the tweet got over 30k likes in less than a day.
You’ll get to see more of Yokoyari’s work in the next Oshi no Ko manga chapter which releases on May 10.
