Here’s What Happened Before One Piece Chapter 1074
Miss Buckingham Stussy is the title of One Piece Chapter 1073, and the cover graces Germa 66’s Ahh… An Emotionless Excursion, Vol. 29: Winner of the Mobel Peace Prize for GP Flowers that bloom out of gunpowder.
Picking up where One Piece Chapter 1072 left off, Rob Lucci can’t wrap his head around what has happened in front of him.
While Kaku is unconscious on the ground, Rob Lucci attacks Stussy, but the latter easily avoids it with a special side-step move called Paper Art After Image.
Stussy then pulls out her lipstick, embedded with Sea Prism Stone, and jams it into Rob Lucci's neck to prevent him from transforming.
That's when Stussy grabs Lucci from behind and bites his neck, causing him to fall asleep almost instantly, just like she did to Kaku.
It was a wise move for Stussy because she was not stupid enough to fight fair against men as powerful as Lucci and Kaku.
The sight of Stussy betraying Kaku and Lucci surprises Brook and Zoro, who wonder if there was infighting within CP0.
Instead of responding, Stussy takes out a Den Den Mushi and reports on what happened to Dr. Vegapunk's satellites.
Stussy, it turns out, has been with Dr. Vegapunk for over two decades of undercover work.
To everyone's surprise, she's been a spy in CP0's top-secret intelligence agency for quite some time.
While the Lucci issue has been resolved, Stussy is concerned about the seraphims who are still under Lucci's command.
Stussy can't override the orders Lucci gave to the seraphims because she has the same level of authority as Lucci, so there's no way to stop them.
Dr. Vegapunk Edison, Lilith, and the Straw Hats rushed to the seraphims' location to prevent them from blowing up the entire laboratory.
Along the way, Brook and Zoro notice how familiar the seraphims appear, particularly S-Shark, who resembles Jinbei when he was younger.
The battle begins when Edison, Lilith, and Zoro engage the seraphims.
Thankfully, Edison was able to change the seraphims' command before they caused more havoc, much to Zoro's surprise, as he couldn't figure out what was going on with the seraphims.
Stussy meets up with Edison and the others, and Shaka orders her to accompany them as they flee the island with the Straw Hat Pirates.
Elsewhere, Luffy is on the hunt for Bonney and Dr. Vegapunk, who has been missing since the fighting began. He has no idea that an incident has occurred, and that Dr. Vegapunk has vanished completely.
Meanwhile, the kids in Whitebeard's hometown of Sphinx are telling Marco what happened while he was away.
They inform Marco that the marines marched into town and pushed them around, all the while threatening to seize Whitebeard's treasures like a gang of pirates.
The marines also threatened the people to behave if they did not want to be hurt, and because the country is not a member of the world government, the law will not protect them at all.
Before one of the marines can shoot an elderly woman, Edward Weevil appears and blasts the marines off, warning them to leave Whitebeard's hometown immediately.
The presence of Weevil frightens the marines, who believe they sent battleships after him after the warlords disbanded.
With the entire squadron down, the remaining marines decided to retreat to the ship and await reinforcements, as Weevil's power is truly monstrous!
However, according to MADS Freeloader and Former Rocks Pirates' Self-Styled Scientist Miss Buckingham Stussy's (Mis Buckin) account, Admiral Ryokugyu arrived and took Weevil to prison.
Because of this, Miss Buckin demands that Marco return Weevil and, while he's at it, surrender Whitebeard's estate.
Miss Buckin accuses Marco of not believing her story that Weevil and Whitebeard are father and son based on Marco's expression.
To prove her point, she mentioned Dr. Vegapunk as the only person on the planet who can tell him it was true.
Before the chapter ends, Kizaru is drinking tea with St. Jaygarcia Saturn, one of the five elders and the holder of the highest authority in the world, as they discuss Dr. Vegapunk aboard a marine ship going to Egghead Island.
