New Magic: The Gathering Legendary Creatures From Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths Revealed

The new Magic: The Gathering set, Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths, is not just the homeplane of many wild and massive monsters; the expansion also features legendary humans who either have a strong affinity with Ikoria's monsters or despise them (General Kudro).

Today, Wizards of the Coast has revealed two more legendary humans from Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths: a blue/green human druid called "Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy", and a red/white legendary human warrior called "Winota, Joiner of Forces". Here they are:

Kinnan is a fantastic Simic-colored creature that will probably see more play in Brawl or Commander formats than Standard. A 2/2 body for two mana that gives mana dorks or mana rocks a boost of mana production is a great deal by itself. Its activated ability that can help you bring out a bigger creature from your deck just brings a lot of value with this card.

This red/white 4/4 creature generates card advantage in combat, but you'll have to build your deck a specific way, with just the right amount of human and non-human creatures, so it might be challenging to find that balance.

In addition to these new legendary humans, other cards from Ikoria revealed today incude the Jeskai-colored ultimatum spell, and the tokens from the main set and Commander 2020.

Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths is set to launch on Magic: The Gathering Arena on April 16, for tabletop play in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong on April 17, and for tabletop play everywhere else on May 15.
