A new Dragon Ball Super project has been announced at the franchise’s 40th anniversary event in Japan, titled Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol.
Four years after Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (2022), The Galactic Patrol is believed to be a faithful adaptation of the manga’s Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc, which will once again see Goku and Vegeta working together to take down an energy-absorbing wizard known as Planet-Eater Moro.
So from the storyline to its potential release date, here’s everything we know so far to prepare fans for another cosmic adventure with their favorite Dragon Ball Super heroes.
What is the New Dragon Ball Super Anime About?

Fans are set to return to the world of Dragon Ball Super in the upcoming anime The Galactic Patrol, which takes place between Ages 780 and 781, following the events of the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie.
The story also ties into Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks, an alternate future where the Androids killed Future Gohan.
Comparable to the Z-Fighters’ unity during the Tournament of Power, The Galactic Patrol promises to be the perfect saga for hardcore Dragon Ball fans.
It will see Goku and Vegeta teaming up with the galaxy’s peacekeeping force, the Galactic Patrol, to take on a new enemy, Planet-Eater Moro, in an epic battle after the Universal Survival Arc, as they try to protect its next target: New Namek.
This saga is believed to be the biggest manga arc yet with its 26 chapters, hinting at the future Dragon Ball Super sagas coming.
Who is the New Dragon Ball Super Villain Planet-Eater Moro?

Originally designed and conceptualized by Toyotarou, fans are about to meet Moro, the Consumer of Worlds, in The Galactic Patrol.
Considered one of the most powerful villains in the Dragon Ball Super universe, he is a demonic wizard and multiversal threat, making him a formidable foe for Goku and Vegeta.
He wields both traditional power and magic, which, combined with his ability to absorb the energy of entire planets, makes him uniquely dangerous.
This ability also allows him to extend his lifespan and develop new skills, similar to how Giru used abilities in Dragon Ball GT to locate the Dragon Balls, making him an even greater threat.
With his immense powers, Moro is not afraid to challenge the mightiest defenders in The Galactic Patrol, including Goku and Gohan.
With that being said, fans can expect another thrilling battle when the new anime finally premieres.
When will Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol be Released?

Production for The Galactic Patrol has already begun, though its official release date has not yet been confirmed.
From the looks of it, the new anime may still take some time before it finally hits the small screens, especially since nothing new has been released from the Dragon Ball Super franchise since 2018.
Fans are certainly excited, and hopefully, the series will premiere very soon following this announcement.
