Netflix is keeping track of what movies and TV shows are watched most in its streaming platform, and now the company has revealed the Top 10 original shows according to hours watched.

The Hollywood Reporter shared the data, and unsurprisingly, Bridgerton is at the top of the list, with 625 million hours watched. 82 million accounts have watched the period romance series, and Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) Part 4 is just behind with 619 million.
The next two belong in the fantasy genre: Stranger Things Season 3 with 582 million, and The Witcher with 541 million hours watched. Stranger Things Season 4 is set to premiere in 2022, so expect the new season to surpass Season 3; The Witcher will also release its second season this December, so expect these fantasy shows to continue getting massive viewerships.
Seasons 1 and 2 of 13 Reasons Why took the #5 and #6 spots with the latter season getting the higher ranking as Season 2 has 496 million while Season 1 has 476 million hours watched.
You Season 2, the crime thriller based on the novels by Caroline Kepnes, made it to #7 with 457 million hours. It's likely that You Season 3 will top that off, when it releases in October.

Which are your favorite Netflix original shows and movies in this list?
The South Korean hit series Squid Game will most likely surpass Bridgerton when its numbers are tallied. Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos recently talked at the Code Conference with speculation about what the next big hit would be. "There's a show on Netflix right now that is the No. 1 in the world, like everywhere in the world," he said. "It's called Squid Game. Squid Game will definitely be our biggest non-English language show in the world, for sure." He went on to say that there's "a very good chance it's going to be our biggest show ever."
Squid Game has already become the first South Korean title to claim the #1 spot in Netflix US, and the whole world, and it will most likely claim the #1 spot in Netflix's Top 10 most viewed shows of all time, but with Bridgerton Season 2 coming, it might be hard for the series to hold the top if it ever gets there. Netflix hasn't officially confirmed Squid Game Season 2, but with its massive success, it's likely that the streaming giant with greenlight a new season. However, Squid Game writer/director Hwang Dong-hyuk revealed that he currently has no well-developed plans yet.
