Following the massive success of One Piece season 2, Netflix is heading straight into the desert. Apart from the streamer sending a green light for season 3, One Piece fans can also expect a two-episode Lego Special featuring the Straw Hat Pirates this year! Here's what fans have to know:
What Fans Can Expect From One Piece Season 3

The third installment of One Piece continues to adapt the live-action version of Eiichiro Oda's beloved manga franchise. This time, One Piece season 3 takes on new wind in its sails in One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta, which is slated for a 2027 release date.
The Alabasta Arc will follow Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew venturing into the desert kingdom of Alabasta, the homeland of Princess Vivi.
As per the official logline: "A rebellion threatens to tear the nation apart, fueled in secret by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to conquer Alabasta for themselves. In a season defined by unbreakable bonds and impossible choices, the Straw Hats must face a brewing civil war and a powerful warlord to save Vivi's kingdom before it crumbles into the sand."
Co-showrunners Joe Tracz and Ian Stokes happen to personally adore the Alabasta Arc as "one of our personal favorite arcs", and it fits right into what they wish for season 3, considering "season 3 builds on everything we've done before to tell a war story that's epic and emotional, spectacular and surprising. We can't wait for fans to join us in Alabasta, where the stakes are high... and the ducks are big."
