Netflix has reportedly opted not to renew its multi-year deal with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as it is nearing its expiration later this year.
The Sussexes have produced a couple of non-fiction projects for Netflix since they signed their deal in 2020, including Markle's lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, which premiered earlier this year to tepid success. Fans have been wondering whether they will continue to produce content for the streamer or if their deal will not be renewed.

According to The Sun, Netflix will not be renewing its multi-year deal with Prince Harry and Megan Markle when the contract expires this September.
The streamer's decision had nothing to do with their personal relationship with the Sussexes, but it is "reflecting a shift in Netflix’s broader business strategy," based on sources that People spoke to.
The Sun also iterated in their report that "there’s no animosity from either side" and "things have just run their course."
However, this doesn't stop the Sussexes from producing more content for Netflix (if they choose to do so) since they could still pitch projects for them after their deal ends. At the same time, they will be open to producing projects on other streamers and networks.
So far, neither Netflix nor the representatives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reacted to the reports that their multi-year deal is not being renewed.
What is the Impact on the Release of With Love, Meghan Season 2?
Netflix's decision on their deal with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is not expected to impact the release of With Love, Meghan season 2 when it premieres later this year.
All episodes for season 2 were already shot when the first season premiered earlier this year. However, it remains unknown whether there will be a third season renewal.
According to the viewership data that was released by Netflix, With Love, Meghan season 1 ranked at No. 383 with 5.3 million views during the first half of 2025, which is seen as a disappointment.
The documentary series Polo, also produced by the Sussexes, was another disappointment since it was only watched by 500,000 households and came in at No. 3,436.
