Netflix is currently working on season 2 of The Perfect Couple following the surprise massive success of the series last year.
The project was originally intended as a six-episode limited series, but it ended up being one of the popular titles on the streamer last year as it spent six weeks in the Netflix English-language Top 10 TV chart and also topped Nielsen’s Top 10 Streaming chart when it launched.
The Perfect Couple Season 2 in the Works at Netflix
Reports confirmed that season 2 of The Perfect Couple is in development at Netflix. No official green light has been given yet.
The potential second season will focus on a new story and characters, making the series an anthology. It will be based on the Elin Hilderbrand novel Swan Song.
Joanna Calo is attached to write, executive produce, and showrun the new season. Nicole Kidman, who starred in the first season, is returning to serve as an executive producer.
Just like The Perfect Couple, the story of Swan Song also takes place in Nantucket. It is unknown yet whether some of the characters from the first season will be brought back in the new chapter.

Swan Song is part of Hilderbrand's series of novels that is set in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

It is worth noting that the character of Kapenash was renamed to Dan Carter in The Perfect Couple TV series played by Michael Beach. It remains unknown whether the character will be included in the potential second season.
