Netflix 2023 Preview Reveals Shows to Look Out for This Year

In December, Netflix irked several subscribers when it decided to cancel Warrior Nun Season 3. Prior to that announcement, the streaming service already decided to cancel First Kill, Space Force, and The Midnight Club. And by the new year, it also announced that it has cancelled 1899 from returning. Every time a cancellation announcement is made, the hashtag #CancelNetflix also trends for a few days.

Fortunately, the streaming service still has a number of shows to look forward to in 2023. The streamer recently released its 2023 preview trailer to hype up some of the shows that are coming out this year. Most importantly, it put a rest to those rumors that Wednesday was exiting the service.

So what are the Netflix shows coming out this year? Here's a list:

For starters, the much awaited Korean series, Squid Game, kickstarted Netflix's New Year, New Seasons video. The show was officially renewed for a second season in June 2022. Unfortunately, a release date for Squid Game Season 2 has not yet been unveiled.

In a Vanity Fair interview, show creator Hwang Dong-hyuk said that the show may return by the end of 2023 or in 2024. But thanks to Netflix's trailer, things are looking bright for a 2023 return.
