Natalie Portman Plays Eleven in SNL Stranger Things Sketch

After more than a decade, Natalie Portman returns to host Saturday Night Live, and aside from another hilarious rap video, Portman also performs in a skit where she plays Eleven from Stranger Things. Check it out:

The video basically has Eleven meeting all her other ‘siblings’ with ridiculous powers; powers such as being able to read thoughts but having to fart each time she does so, or the ability to make chili but only if their brain bleeds out.

I’ll admit, it’s not the cleverest sketch, but it’s still good for a chuckle. I guess I’m just distracted that each of the actors are clearly reading off of the prompters instead of memorizing their lines. Then again, it’s fun to watch Portman full around onscreen.

The second season of Stranger Things has proven to be another success for Netflix, but it’s not without its missteps. A lot of fans took issue with the episode The Lost Sister in which Eleven goes on her own story to meet another experiment like her; totally sidestepping the overall arc concerning the kids in Hawkins. Not to mention, Eleven spends most of the season away from Mike and the gang, instead being stuck in a cabin with Hopper.

No release date has been announced for Stranger Things 3, but some are saying that we should expect it come out next year.
