My Happy Marriage is made by Kinema Citrus, the studio behind Made in Abyss, Barakamon, and The Rising of the Shield Hero.
As for its story, the series follows Miyo, a girl who is born without supernatural abilities, resulting in her being forced into servitude by her stepmother.
Soon, she is married off to Kiyoka Kudo, a soldier who is said to be cold and cruel.
While it seems that she is about to suffer even more, Miyo soon discovers that Kiyoka is not the cruel man that he is claimed to be by others. Thus begins a blossoming romance.
