Wizards of the Coast

The Magic: The GatheringCore Set 2020 previews continue to hype up the upcoming set today. In addition to the new Omath and other cards revealed today, Wizards of the Coast has revealed a new Land card that will remind you of the most expensive Magic card in the world, "Black Lotus". The new rare land card is called "Lotus Field", and as you can see below, it has Hexproof, comes into play tapped, and can tap to add three mana of any one color. However, you will have to sacrifice two lands when "Lotus Field" enters the battlefield.

The artwork for Lotus Field was illustrated by one of the greatest Magic artists of all time, John Avon. This card will probably see a good amount of play in Standard and could help certain decks splash for more colors so they can play powerful cards like Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God from War of the Spark.

Another card revealed today is an artifact that fits well in tribal creature decks. It's called "Icon of Ancestrality" and when it enters the battlefield, you choose a creature type and creatures of the chosen creature type get +1/+1. You can also pay 3 mana and tap to activate its ability that lets you find a creature of the chosen type from you deck. Check out the card below:
