Another Bruce Springsteen biopic might be on the horizon as the director of Deliver Me from Nowhere has teased a potential sequel to the new film.

The legendary musician is finally getting his own biopic treatment, with The Bear star Jeremy Allen White playing the beloved icon. While the responses among critics have been mixed, there remains considerable excitement for the film, given Springsteen's reputation and worldwide popularity, which could translate into box office success.

Is Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere Getting a Sequel?

During the opening night premiere of the film at AFI Fest (via Variety), director Scott Cooper teased the idea of doing a sequel to Deliver Me from Nowhere that will tackle other stories in Springsteen's life.

"I suppose if you can make four Beatles movies, you can make a couple of Bruce Springsteen movies," he said, referring to the four-movie The Beatles biopic that is currently in the works.

Cooper also shared that Springsteen has expressed interest in doing a sequel after having a great experience making the new film.

"There’s so many chapters in Bruce’s life, in all seriousness, that are quite right for cinematic treatment. That’s something quite honestly that Bruce and I have discussed. I think he really loves this film. He’s loved the experience," he said.

"I think he feels incredibly comfortable with, someone telling a very painful chapter in his life. You’d have to ask him, but I think he’s ready for more."

When asked whether he has a casting idea for the role of Courteney Cox, if he tackles the making of the "Dancing in the Dark" music video in the next film, the director responded, "Oh, my God. That’s a great question. I don’t know if Courteney Cox has children, but maybe if she does."

What is Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere About?

Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 Nebraska album when he was a young musician on the cusp of global superstardom, struggling to reconcile the pressures of success with the ghosts of his past.

Recorded on a 4-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom, the album marked a pivotal time in his life and is considered one of his most enduring works—a raw, haunted acoustic record populated by lost souls searching for a reason to believe.

Aside from White, the cast includes Jeremy Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Stephen Graham, Odessa Young, Gaby Hoffman, Marc Maron, and David Krumholtz. Scott Cooper directed and wrote the film.
