Viewers of Netflix's Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story have been wondering whether Cooper Koch used a prosthetic for his famous shower scene.

One of the notable moments in the series that viewers took notice of is when Koch's Erik Menendez was seen in full frontal while taking a shower in the prison. It made them wonder whether it was real or if he used a prosthetic.

Cooper Koch Addresses Famous Shower Scene in Netflix's Monsters

In his recent guest appearance on Watch What Happens Live!, host Andy Cohen and Koch discussed some of the iconic full-frontal moments in film, TV, and stage.

When his full frontal nudity scene in Monsters was brought up, Koch revealed that he didn't use any prosthetics during the moment.

"Also just to say mine was not a prosthetic," he admitted.

Cohen replied, "Well that was going to be my next question. Congratulations to you, Cooper. You’re very blessed, aren’t you."

"Well hung," Koch cheekily remarked.

The actor's revelation caused a rapturous response among the live audience as they were surprised to hear the juicy behind-the-scenes detail.

Normally, actors use prosthetics whenever they have a full frontal nudity scene as they obviously don't want to expose their private parts to a worldwide audience.

However, as it turns out, it was an exception for Koch as he was willing to not use any prosthetics at all which might be seen as a brave move for some viewers.

Koch also opened up about the challenges of filming the shower scene in full frontal nudity.

He admitted that it was initially "uncomfortable" due to the cold temperature of the shower.

"It’s not scary, I would say it’s just more uncomfortable at first and it’s very cold, especially in the shower," the actor said. He also added that the water was "warm in the beginning."

Koch also shared that meeting the Menendez brothers was "not super intimidating."

"I would say just like more nerve-wracking ‘cause I’ve known about them for so long and care so much about them. It was just like nervous but then when I got there it was all great," he noted.
