Monarch: Legacy of Monsters: When Does the Kaiju Movie Take Place?
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is set right after the incident of the reboot of 2014's Godzilla, meaning that the series would be placed following the events of Kong: Skull Island, the movie released back in 2017.
The upcoming Monarch series will be releasing ten 6-minute episodes on Apple TV+ wherein the first two episodes were directed by WandaVision's very own Matt Shakman.
According to the official synopsis for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, the series takes place in the 1950s:
The series will also follow the reprisal of the classic fan-favorite Kaiju from the franchise, along with the side of new monsters that are going to be introduced in the upcoming narrative.
