Miley Cyrus recently claimed that her father, Billy Ray, smoked weed on the set of Hannah Montana.
As everyone knows, Miley and Billy Ray starred together in the hit Disney Channel series, where they also played daughter and father. It was also where Miley made her breakthrough and became a massive global star.
Did Billy Ray Cyrus Smoke Weed on the Set of Hannah Montana?
During a recent interview on the Sorry We're Cyrus podcast (via EW), Miley's mother, Tish, asked her whether she has a "core memory" from her Disney Channel days that still makes her laugh.
She revealed that her dad, Billy Ray, smoked weed on the set, and she was blamed for it.
"Dad smoking pot, and everyone blaming me for it. It's hilarious. He wasn't sharing because Tish wasn't toking yet," the singer said.
Tish shared that she also heard that Billy Ray smoked weed on set, but she didn't believe it then.
"They were calling me saying B-Ray was smoking pot, and I was saying, 'Absolutely not. He would never do that. It's Mitchel Musso,'" she recalled.
Miley agreed with her mother that her co-star may have also smoked weed on the set. She said, "Well, it was Mitchel Musso. It was both."
Musso has reacted to Miley's claims that he also smoked weed on the set of Hannah Montana, but he denied it.
"Honestly, this made me laugh. That's not how I remember it... and I've got plenty of stories from those years that might be worth having a conversation about," he told EW.
"If we're revisiting Hannah Montana history — just say the word. Receipts. All love to Miley and the fam... even when the rewrites get this creative."
How is Miley Cyrus' Relationship with Billy Ray Today?
Last month, Miley denied the rumors that she and her family were feuding with Billy Ray.
She explained that her relationship with her parents has not been strained and that they are still on good terms, despite what the rumors may have suggested.
"I rarely comment on rumors, but my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us," the singer wrote in her post.
"Like a lot of moms, she doesn’t know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me - simple, coincidental, and uninteresting."
Cyrus also addressed her current relationship with Billy Ray.
She continued, "My dad and I have had our challenges over the years. Now, in my thirties, family is my priority above all else. I’m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing."
"Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family," the singer concluded.
