As early as now, The Fantastic Four has already been making waves, with fans and critics alike uniting in praising the new Marvel movie, following the disappointing box office performances of Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts*.

Writer, columnist, and filmmaker Dan Marcus claimed First Steps is “the best MCU film in ages,” giving director Matt Shakman compliments for his perfect rendition of the story by emphasizing characters and storyline while still managing to provide the “most gorgeous visuals ever conceived for a MCU film.”

“The anatomically correct Galactus has a huge part. Loved this,” he continued.

Film analyzer, co-host, and head of content for New Rockstarts on YouTube, Erik Voss, declared The Fantastic Four as “the most visually dazzling film Marvel Studios has made” so far.

For him, Galactus (Ralph Ineson) is enough reason to see the movie in addition to the main cast: Sue Storm / Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Johnny Storm / Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm / The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).

“There are other reasons: the music, the performances, the action, the WORLD,” he added. “A step in the right direction for Marvel.”

In addition, The Direct co-founder Jack McBryan also has rave reviews for the film, calling it “the most visually stunning and tonally distinct MCU movie yet.”

He also applauded the main cast members and called out Kirby for “being the standout.

“Giacchino's score is an all timer. You will regret not watching this movie in the biggest theater possible,” he teased.
