Marvel's Avengers, from Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics, has got fans curious about the kind of game they will be getting next year. From what we've heard from gameplay impressions, it seems like this will be a linear-ish action game where multiple scenarios will have you play as the whole team in interesting missions. The story, which is a mixture of Civil War and Avengers: Disassembled is also a nice touch.
During the demo, fans were a bit disappointed to see quick-time events used throughout the level. While they were popular for a time, gamers got sick of them really quickly after plenty of God of War ripoffs used them poorly. Some titles have used them well - Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Storm 4 and Marvel's Spider-Man are good examples - but they're usually frowned upon.
Well, if game director Noah Hughes is to be believed, they won't dominate the game like a David Cage title. Here's what he told ComicBook.com:
Fans will be able to get their hands on Marvel's Avengers next year, on May 15. The game will be coming out on PS4, Xbox One, Windows, and Google Stadia.
