During their recent New York Comic-Con presentation, Marvel Television and Animation head Brad Winderbaum confirmed they are working on three new two-part Marvel Zombies specials that will be released in the Halloween season during the next three years.
The first installment, Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier, will be released in 2027. It will be followed by Marvel Zombies: The Fist of Khonshu in 2028, suggesting that it will have a Moon Knight connection.
In 2029, the story will conclude with Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian, with the font in the logo suggesting that it will focus on the Guardians of the Galaxy.
"I won't tell you who the Last Guardian is, but it's very, very exciting," Winderbaum teased to the crowd.
The three specials are currently in production, and Winderbaum promised fans that it will be as gory and bloody as they expect.
He said, "We’re about halfway through animatics, and it is a blood-splattering good time, but it's also quite beautiful. I still can’t believe Disney+ lets us get away with it."
The casting details are still under wraps, but they will likely bring back some of the familiar actors from the live-action MCU projects.

In Marvel Zombies, after the Avengers are overtaken by a zombie plague, a desperate group of survivors discovers the key to bringing an end to the super-powered undead, racing across a dystopian landscape and risking life and limb to save their world.
