Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige On The MCU’s Secret To Success

With 22 films in its roster, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been undoubtedly one of the most successful film franchises in the history of Hollywood.

Now that Avengers: Endgame has marked the end of the third phase of the MCU, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige decides to open up about Marvel's success.

The Marvel producer just recently went on an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit this week, and in one of his discussions with fans, Feige was asked to reveal the Key to the success of the MCU. His response was simple. Get things right.

"Respect the source material. Hire passionate filmmakers regardless of how much money their last movie made. Hire the best cast regardless of their current marquee value," Feige detailed.

Marvel has grown a lot ever since Iron Man's release in 2008. Sticking to its formula of success, Marvel has been able to produce overwhelmingly saleable films like Captain America: Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and so many, many others.

Of course, Marvel understands that formulas can also create fatigue. The studio combats this by making sure to keep things fresh for fans.

"Nobody would get fatigued before the creative forces at Marvel Studios who do this 24 hours a day, 7 days a week," Feige admitted,"So we believe that if we're still taking risks and making unique choices to keep ourselves excited, the audience will feel the same way."

Now the only question is whether other film franchises can find their own success in the face of the ever-growing MCU.

Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in cinemas.
