Marvel Studios recently announced that they are bringing back the "Marvel Television" banner for the upcoming MCU shows.
For the past few years, we've seen the MCU franchise expand to television as they are producing projects for Disney+ that are still part of the same universe as the big-screen releases.
However, the TV expansion has also added some confusion for the audience as they now feel that they are obligated to watch them in order to understand the other MCU releases, especially on the theatrical side.
Now, Marvel Studios has come up with a new banner that addresses the issues on its TV output.

Marvel Television Banner Set for MCU Live-Action Shows
In a recent interview, Marvel Studios executive Brad Winderbaum addressed their decision to bring back the "Marvel Television" banner for the live-action MCU shows.
He explained that the new banner could help the TV projects become accessible to the general audience so that they won't feel obligated to watch every MCU release and can jump in anywhere.
"We want to make sure that Marvel stays an open door for people to come in and explore. On the heels of Endgame, I think there was, maybe, a little bit of an obligation to watch absolutely everything in order to watch anything," he said.
"As you know, as a comics fan, they're designed to just pop in, find something that you like, and use that to enter you into the universe, and then you can explore and weave around based on your own preferences."
Winderbaum added, "So part of the rebranding of Marvel Studios, Marvel Television, Marvel Animation, even Marvel Spotlight is to, I think, try to tell the audience, 'You can jump in anywhere. They're interconnected but they're not. You don't have to watch A to enjoy B. You can follow your bliss. You can follow your own preferences and find the thing you want within the tapestry of Marvel.'"
The new "Marvel Television" banner will begin with the upcoming series Agatha All Along which is set to release this September.
Marvel Television is also the name of the previous production company that produced non-MCU TV projects such as the Netflix Defenders shows, Agents of SHIELD, and more.
While we don't yet whether the new banner will have some effect on the branding later on, it is an intriguing new strategy that could address the concerns surrounding their TV releases, especially as they're now reducing their output.
