Thanos might not be a fan of the superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but Josh Brolin certainly loves the franchise's films. The Avengers: Infinity War star has just revealed his top three MCU movies, and it's quite an interesting list.
Brolin shared his preferences in the new book Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years (via ComicBook.com). The Oldboy actor was given the chance to enumerate the films he enjoyed the most and his top one is none other than 2008's Iron Man.
"It worked so well," Brolin said. "For me, there's no better marriage of character and actor than that, and Robert Downey Jr. just got it." He added that "you can't think of another actor who could have played the role" and says Iron Man "set the template for everything that's followed since."
Brolin's second choice is Captain America: Civil War because "there's a lot of friction." He also pointed out that the movie "keeps you guessing" and wondering "what is this guy, Captain America, gonna do?"
The final choice is a surprising one. According to Brolin, Thor: Ragnarok worked so well because Chris Hemsworth, Cate Blanchett, and Mark Ruffalo were "really enjoying their roles." He said, "That was a good, really fun movie – it was a great hybrid of humor, action, and really fun acting."
If you're wondering why Brolin didn't mention Deadpool 2, it's because he was specifically asked to mention Marvel Studios films. However, we're pretty sure he loved his own movie with Ryan Reynolds.
Brolin will return in Avengers 4, which is scheduled for release on May 3, 2019.
