Avengers: Endgame may have completed Hulk's (Mark Ruffalo) arc in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that doesn't mean that Bruce Banner's story is done just yet.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige just recently went on an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, and aside from discussing the future of the MCU, the producer also hinted at the potential future of the Hulk.
Hinting that the Hulk might be able to return to the franchise after Endgame, Feige told fans that the leftover ideas that Ruffulao had pitched to Marvel would actually still be interesting to see.
"Many years ago, Mark came in for a meeting with us at Marvel Studios to discuss ways in which the Hulk could grow and evolve in upcoming films," Feige detailed, ""He pitched a lot of cool ideas, some of which led to what you saw in Thor: Ragnarok, Infinity War and Endgame, and some of which would still be cool to see someday."
Unfortunately, this doesn't necessarily mean that a Hulk standalone movie is in the works. During the AMA, the Marvel producer also admitted that he wasn't sure whether a Hulk movie would ever really happen. As much as the studio would love to give the character his own feature film, fans have to remember that there are still legal entanglements with Universal Pictures, the rival studio which retains the right to distribute any solo Hulk project produced by Marvel Studios.
Maybe we'll get to see Hulk make a few cameos. Or he could go on another adventure with Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Let's wait and see.
Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in cinemas.
