As fans go into Avengers: Endgame, they find it best to prepare by looking back at the legacy and history of the sprawling universe that started 10 years ago. Naturally, fans will catch small things after several rewatch of their favorite films, but one of the things that only came up until now is Hulk.
A Quora user shared his astonishing observation of Hulk throughout the films, discovering what appears to be his desire to be considered as his own person. The Marvel fan noticed how the green monster was cooperating with his team members and doing what he's told when they refer to him as Hulk.
On the other hand, he becomes hostile when they refer to him as Banner or Bruce, a mistake that Tony Stark realized in Avengers: Infinity War and one that Thor consistently committed in Ragnarok, where Hulk downright refused to acknowledge his professor alter-ego. Check out the post below:

A Reddit user supported the notion, saying that Hulk didn't want to leave the planet in Ragnarok because for the first time, he was treated like a human being. This might even explain why he refused to help in Avengers: Infinity War. He was essentially taken away from the life he wanted to live and didn't even have a choice in the matter.
From the looks of it, Hulk just wants to be recognized as his own person, and that the truth is Hulk and Banner are two separate people that just happen to share the same body.
So it doesn't come as a shock that Hulk also hates Banner, who seems to see him as no more than just a weapon. He wants no mention of his name and thinks of him as a puny being.
At the end of the day, it looks like Hulk longs to lead a life of his own. In light of the recent events, it is interesting to see if he and Banner will ever find a way to co-exist.
Will we see Hulk help in Avengers: Endgame? Hopefully we won't wait that long. The synopsis for the highly-anticipated film reads:
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.
Avengers: Endgame hits the theaters April 26.
