Mark Ruffalo Opens up About Leaking Thor: Ragnarok Online

There was a time when Mark Ruffalo was dubbed the King of Spoilers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for accidentally leaking details about the films he worked on. One of these high-profile accidents was when Ruffalo forgot to turn off Facebook Live and leaked the entire opening of Thor: Ragnarok on social media. So did it get him in trouble? Ruffalo has opened up about the incident and the shocking way that Marvel Studios reacted to the leak.

Ruffalo was a guest in a recent episode of The Graham Norton Show where he was asked what happened after the leak. Not surprisingly, the Avengers: Endgame star was worried that Kevin Feige would be upset about it and tried to apologize to the Marvel Studios president.

"He was like, 'What are you doing, man?'" Ruffalo said. "I told him, 'Kevin, it was an accident. I swear to God. They told me to use the Facebook Live, I don't know how to use it!' He was like, 'You can't do this stuff!'"

The exchange had Ruffalo greatly concerned about seeing Feige face-to-face for a press call. However, it turns out that Feige was actually happy with what Ruffalo had done.

"I walk over to him to say sorry, and he grabs me in a bear hug," Ruffalo continued. "And he's like, 'That was genius! We got more press from that than the entire premiere! We couldn't have imagined doing something that good!'"

Luckily, it sounds like Ruffalo's accident turned out to be a good thing for Ragnarok. The sequel would later draw in millions of fans who were all intrigued by the opening minutes. However, we're still hoping that Ruffalo doesn't keep doing this with his movies.

It is still unclear if Ruffalo will continue playing Bruce Banner/Hulk in future MCU films.
