It will still be a long wait for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 but MAPPA just made the wait a lot easier. A new teaser for the anime has just been dropped during Crunchyroll Expo 2022 and it's getting fans all hyped up for the show's return next year!
Jujutsu Kaisen had an awesome panel at Crunchyroll Expo 2022 which was attended by English dub voice actors Anne Yatco (Nobara Kugisaki), Kaiji Tang (Satoru Gojo), and Adam McArthur (Yuji Itadori). After the panel, the special promo for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was shared with fans around the world. Check it out below.
But what can we expect in the second season? The first season of Jujutsu Kaisen concluded with Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki killing Eso and Kechizu and the season finale pretty much adapted most of the Death Painting story arc. However, there is one part of the arc's final chapter that hasn't been featured in the anime yet.
In the manga, Kugisaki meets Yuko Ozawa who was Itadori's classmate in junior high. After learning that Ozawa has a crush on Itadori, Kugisaki works with Megumi Fushiguro to set the two on a date.
It might not be an important part of the ongoing story but it's a refreshing break from all the fighting. But will we see this part of the arc in the anime? There's a huge chance that Ozawa's bit will no longer be featured in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 as the anime moves forward with the next story arc. However, it could show up in a Jujutsu Stroll which usually follows the credits in each episode.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is expected to adapt the manga's Gojo's Past arc and the Shibuya Incident arc. It has not yet been given an official release date. However, the anime is already expected to return in Winter 2023.
