Thieves have broken in the Jacksonville Game Center twice in less than a month and stole nearly $10,000 worth of Magic: The Gathering cards, Action News Jax reports.
"The place is pretty packed, we have anywhere from 20-plus players," Ortiz told Action News Jax, "It's like a second home. A lot of people come to get away from issues."
Ortiz told the news outlet that when these crimes happen, the customers take it as a personal attack.
Three weeks ago, the thieves broke a hole in the wall to steal more than $5,000 worth of Magic: The Gathering cards.
According to the owner, they left another hole in the wall on Friday night and stole more than $3,000 in Magic: The Gathering cards. He said that they broke into the wall at the restaurant next door. Action Jax News shared a surveillance video revealing the glow of their flashlights.
Ortiz has a message for the thieves who stole nearly $10,000 worth of MTG cards: "Just grow up," Ortiz said. "It's not necessary. You're attacking us for a quick buck. Just go out there and get a job, man."
