On Monday's Bridging Worlds: Magic: The Gathering x Warhammer 40,000, D from the Node YouTube channel talked about the collaboration between Wizards of the Coast and Games Workshop, and the overall philosophy of the cards included in each Commander deck. Then, the four new Commanders have been revealed for the pre-constructed decks that are set to release within a few weeks.

Here are the four commanders of Magic: The Gathering x Warhammer 40,000:

  • The Swarmlord (Green/Blue/Red)
  • Inquisitor Greyfax (White/Blue/Black)
  • Abaddon the Despoiler (Blue/Black/Red)
  • Szarekh, the Silent King (Black)

Based on the abilities of these Commanders, we can assume what each deck's strategy will focus on. The Swarmlord Commander deck will mostly feature a bunch of cards that can give creatures +1+1 counters.

Inquisitor Greyfax deck will likely focus on a tempo-based strategy with aggressive creatures and various cards that use the Investigate mechanic.

Abaddon the Despoiler, which was initially previewed months ago as the first teaser for the Warhammer 40K crossover, will be in a deck that will most likely focus on the power of the Cascade mechanic.

The Commander deck for Szarekh, the Silent King will likely have many Artifact cards while focusing on graveyard/reanimation strategies.

Expect more MTG x Warhammer 40K reveals all week long, with 42 brand new cards and 58 Warhammer 40K-themed reprints coming.
