Today, Magic: The Gathering Senior Designer Gavin Verhey announced the upcoming Commander products that will be released next year, and the most exciting one he talked about is Commander Legends, a draftable Commander set that will feature 70 new legendary cards.
In the new Command Zone video, he revealed two new artworks for the upcoming set. One art features Baron Sengir while the other one is a mysterious planeswalker whose identity he did not reveal, so fans can try to guess and figure it out, and it didn't take long for us to find out.
The new art depicts a red-headed female planeswalker with two unique weapons, and her look perfectly match the barbarian legend from the Judgment depicted in the card called "Jeska, Warrior Adept". Check out the comparison below:
Just look at her weapons, the horns around her head, the hair, and the barbarian outfit.Yep, that definitely looks like a new art for Jeska, and it's amusing to see that she's getting a planeswalker card., and it's probably going to be red just like the creature version. Jeskai is an Otarian barbarian and the sister of Kamahl. She was also depicted in the "Phase, the Untouchable Avatar" card.
Verhey said that she will be the face of Commander Legends, and that she's one of the only two planeswalkers that will be featured in the highly-anticipated set.
Commander Legends is set to release sometime in Q4 2020.
