My Little Pony is invading the world of Magic: The Gathering in one of the most unexpected crossovers ever made. Wizards of the Coast has announced a new collaboration for the popular collectible card game, which will feature new cards based on characters from My Little Pony. The three-card promotional set called Ponies: The Galloping will be available from October 22 to November 5, and they were available at the Hasbropulse. Percentage of slaes for this crossover product will go to the Extra Life, a charity organization that raises money for children's hospitals through gaming initiatives, with these products specically benefitting the Seattle's Children Hospital.
The three Ponies: The Galloping cards are silver-bordered, double-sided Princess Luna/ NIghtmare Moon" card; "Twilight Sparkle"; and "Rarity" card. Each set costs $50 with $30 going to charity. Of course, since these cards are silver-bordered, they are not legal in any Magic tournaments.
There's also a $100 playmat bundle ($80 goes toward charity) and it comes with three mats (two single-sided, one double-sided).
There will also be My Little Pony digital card sleeves that will also be available digitally between October 28 to November 2 on Magic: The Gathering Arena for $3.99 each. Check them out the images via IGN below:
The limited-edition sets will only be shipped to U.S. and Canada.
