I think we can go over and over about how The Mandalorian changed the entire landscape of the Star Wars franchise and for the better. Since its debut in 2019, the Pedro Pascal-led show has constantly been giving us some of the best Star Wars content and it's not even close. However, as the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end and it turns out that the beloved series could be nearing its endgame.
During an interview with Variety at D23, Bo-Katan Kryze actress confirmed that Lucasfilm is already planning The Mandalorian's end. While she didn't exactly reveal how many more seasons fans can expect out of the show, Sackhoff said that they are very much aware. She teased: "You know, I have been told, but we’ll just have to wait and see if that happens."
When asked if it's the amount of seasons she expected, Katee responded: "Yes. Yes. (laughs) The good thing with Dave [Filoni] and Jon [Favreau] is that they’re constantly expanding this world, and I don’t think that Star Wars fans will be lacking for content any time soon."

As it stands, Lucasfilm has yet to address the future of the show but we can confirm that a fourth season will be happening with some reports even claiming that production is under way.
While I understand that most fans would like to see the show expand and run for a couple more seasons, I think I'd rather see it end at a high note than see the show's quality decline which is typically what happens to projects that run for more than four seasons.
The Mandalorian's third season is expected to hit Disney+ in February 2023.
