The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 1 may have ended in October this year, however, reports have circulated that The Rings of Power Season 2 has just welcomed seven new cast members.
Variety reported that the head of global television for Amazon Studios, Vernon Sanders, has added seven new cast members set to have recurring roles for Season 2. With that, you can also check Sanders’ announcement on Amazon below:

Season 2 has added Gabriel Akuwudike (Hanna, Ridley Road), Yasen “Zates” Atour (The Witcher, Young Wallander), Ben Daniels (Jupiter’s Legacy, The Crown), Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towle (Persuasion), and Nicholas Woodeson (Silent Witness, Rome).
Meanwhile, Joseph Mawle is no longer the orc leader Adar for Season 2, with Sam Hazeldine (Peaky Blinders, Slow Horses) stepping into the role. Though specific character details are still being kept under wraps, you can be sure we’ll keep you up to date once more details have been released.
All episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 1 are available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. Meanwhile, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 will not be released until at least late 2023 or early 2024.
