Netflix recently announced that they extended a partnership with the Mean Girls lead star Lindsay Lohan, who is set to star in two upcoming Netflix original films. While the two films remain a mystery and Netflix has not yet announced what Lohan will be starring at, her next project will be Netflix's Falling For Christmas, a romantic-comedy film that is scheduled for release on the streaming platform in the Christmas season, 2022.
Lohan made her debut acting career in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. Ever since then, Lohan continued acting and landed iconic roles for Herby Fully Loaded and Mean Girls, instantly giving the actress a teen idol status. However, Lohan has been involved in many scandals that ruined her career's reputation and the actress has to put her career on hold to deal with her personal matters. Though these issues have overshadowed Lohan's acting achievements, fortunately, the actress is now doing well and now prepared to make films again.
You probably haven't heard from Lohan for a while now, since the actress took a hiatus from acting for a very long time. But the actress didn't completely fade from the spotlight, Last 2019, Lohan appeared again for the first time in the low-budget horror film, Among The Shadows. The actress hasn't appeared in any major films but after Netflix's announcement, Lohan will be in the spotlight again. Independent director, Christina Rogers revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that Lindsay Lohan is officially back in the spotlight. Rogers said, "We’re so happy with our collaboration with Lindsay to date, and we’re thrilled to continue our partnership with her. We look forward to bringing more of her films to our members around the world.”
While we don't have any further details about the two films set for Lohan, Falling For Christmas is Lohan's only confirmed film for Netflix.
Falling for Christmas is rumored to be released at the end of the year and will be directed by Janeen Damian.
