Is The Last House Sequel Already in the Works?
In an interview with Screen Rant, Wagner Moura opened up about his character Jason's decision in the climax of The Last House and shared whether it is an indication of a sequel.
He explained why Jason did not kill the creature in the climax and why it was the right decision that he made.
"His daughter is always telling him something, and he doesn't listen to her. The entire film, she's saying something, and he responds just with this sort of arrogance that adults have towards their children. And I was like, "Man, we really have to listen to everybody, but especially to our kids,'" the actor said.
"What she said since the beginning was right. She was right. And the decision, therefore, I think the decision was, of course, first of all, he's not killing anyone. And secondly, he listened to her."
However, when asked whether a sequel is in the works given what happened at the end, Moura did not confirm any plans, but he expressed his interest in reprising his role if there is an opportunity.
Netflix will likely wait for the film's viewership reports in the coming days or weeks to decide whether they will greenlight a sequel.
