Considering that Wade Wilson and Logan are jumping into Marvel's Multiverse, and Sabretooth is confirmed to debut in the threequel, what are the chances we'll get to see Liev Schreiber's version of the menacing mutant joining Deadpool and Wolverine? Here's how.
How Wolverine Will Get His Rematch With Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth
As Deadpool told Wolverine in the new trailer, MCU fans have long waited for the yellow-suited claw mutant's return and now they're also potentially getting a long-overdue rematch with Sabretooth. But there's a catch.
The Sabretooth we see from the Deadpool and Wolverine trailer is not Schreiber's from 2011's X-Men Origins. Instead, we got Tyler Mane from the 2000's X-Men film.
While both X-Men villains are originally portrayed in their own way, fans are hoping that we'll also witness Schreiber's comeback on the big screens this July. We may not have to give up hope this soon...
Initially, Schreiber couldn't reprise his role in Hugh Jackman's Logan film in 2017. At the time, the actor explained, "They didn't ask me. I don't think [Sabretooth] was part of that story, you know?"
Surely, given the amount of chaos the Deadpool threequel is about to unleash into the MCU, he can squeeze right in between the panels this time?
Remember: the ketchup and mustard duo have been joined together to defeat the forces ruining the Sacred Timeline. The Time Variance Authority (TVA) has their backs.
Given that we'll be seeing the majority of the classic X-Men villains and Deadpools from varying timelines in the Multiverse, there's no doubt that other versions of Wolverine's archnemesis could make their appearances on the big screens this July.
Keep in mind that the big Multiverse baddies will be giving their all in trying to stop Deadpool and Wolverine from doing their job to save the Sacred Timeline, among other things. Why should the other Sabretooth miss out on his chance to shine?
The only catch? Fans would have to wait before we take our first looks at the iconic Schreiber Sabretooth coming with the main cast in theatres.
