Liam Hemsworth Looks Great As Ben Affleck’s Replacement As Batman

Earlier this year, Ben Affleck confirmed that he would be stepping down from his role as the DC Extended Universe's Batman in Matt Reeve's upcoming film centered around the Dark Knight. Ever since then, fans have been throwing names left and right, hoping that their bets take on the cowl and become DC's new Batman. Aside from favourites like Mad Men's Jon Hamm and Man from UNCLE's Armie Hammer, fans have also pitched Liam Hemsworth as the new Dark Knight.

Now, thanks to digital artist BFHDesigns, fans get to see with Hemsworth might look like as DC's new Caped Crusader. Taking to Instagram, BFHdesigns posted an image imagining Hemsworth as Bats.

Though fans would probably want to stick to their favourites, Hemsworth could be a potential candidate for the role considering the fact that The Batman is looking for a younger Bruce Wayne. Details for the film are currently under wraps, however, Reeves has explicitly described the film as a "noir-drive" comic book movie where Batman is "investigating a particular case that takes us out into the world of Gotham."

"It's more Batman in his detective mode than we've seen in the films," the director told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview back January. "The comics have a history of that. He's supposed to be the world's greatest detective, and that's not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been. I'd love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime."

There have been rumors saying that The Batman would adapt Frank Miller's Batman: Year One, however that story's since been debunked by Reeves.

DC's latest film, Shazam! is currently screening in cinemas.
