Fans were pretty shocked when a number of Avengers: Endgame posters revealed that Shuri did not make it out alive from "The Snap." Her death wasn't shown on-screen and it left many puzzled about who else could be dead, causing even more heartbreak. As if that wasn't sad enough, Letitia Wright, the actress who plays Shuri, only found out about her character's death when those posters were released.
Yup, she found out when the fans found out. Kind of messed up huh?
Wright revealed this during the premiere of Avengers: Endgame, where she was interviewed in the red carpet. The young actress was shocked to see her character poster being black and white, which confirms her death, while her co-stars remained in the land of the living. No one can blame her for being so surprised since she was a fan-favorite since Black Panther came out.
Admittedly, not everyone is too choked up about this. After all, the whole world knows Spider-Man will be coming back thanks to the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer, so there's always a good chance that Shuri will return. Who would watch Black Panther 2 if she wasn't there?
Avengers: Endgame comes out this Friday, on April 26.
