Given that Marvel Cinematic Universe films always aim to deliver past the hour mark, especially in films that involve the majority of the cast interacting and working together on screen, it is no surprise that Avengers 5 is anticipated to follow in their footsteps, perhaps even go past the 3-hour mark of Avengers: Endgame. In a quick interview with Variety, Kang the Conqueror star actor Jonathan Majors, soon to star in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and a cameo appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, shared about Avengers 5, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

As Jonathan Majors first debuted as the villainous Kang the Conqueror in Loki season 1, he is off to make cameo appearances, and teased for having a bigger plan to conquer the MCU with Thanos out of the way.

When his role as Avengers: Kang Dynasty’s titular villain was brought up, the actor responded: “Look, what’s a villain?”

Similar to how Winston Duke implied antagonists are no black-and-white matter, Majors seems to be hinting at a deeper, darker secret behind Kang’s motives as the ‘New Thanos’ of the MCU.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is set to premiere on May 2, 2025 followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on May 1, 2026.
