Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone Reboot Begins Production

It looks like the Twilight Zone reboot has just started production.

CBS has just recently announced the beginning of production for its reboot of The Twilight Zone television show in a new video celebrating the 59th anniversary of the original anthology series by Rod Serling.

Posting the video on YouTube, the network announced that production for Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg's Twilight Zone reboot actually began yesterday, October 1, in the wide expanse of Vancouver British Columbia. Revisiting some of the most popular episodes in the history of The Twilight Zone, the new video not only announces the beginning of work on the show's reboot, but it also reminds fans what a great series The Twilight Zone was. Showcasing footage from episodes like To Serve Man, Living Doll, and The Invaders, the recently released video adds a whole lot of nostalgic color to the series' 59th anniversary.

Fans also get to hear Peele stepping into the role of Rod Serling as The Twilight Zone's host and narrator, listening to the Get Out director delivering the show's popular introduction. Ending with a brief peek of the reboot's set, fans get to see a clapperboard with the first take of the first scene written down on it.

This is definitely exciting news for Twilight Zone fans. The original series which was shot entirely in black and white lasted for five seasons on CBS, running from 1959 to 1964. The series became so popular, it gave birth to theme park attractions, stage productions, and even radio show attractions.

Now, with the Twilight Zone officially on the way, we can't wait to see Jordan's treatment of the series.

The Twilight Zone reboot is slated to premiere sometime 2019.
