John Wick 3 Releases Dog-Focused Trailer For National Puppy Day

The John Wick trilogy started with a dog and it's just fitting that the final film is paying tribute to man's best friend. The new John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum trailer honors Keanu Reeves' loyal companion on National Puppy Day.

The trailer opens with an awesome message. "The following preview has been approved for dog enthusiasts everywhere." In addition to that, it claims that the movie has been rated GB (for Good Boy, naturally) and features "some intense barking." You may also notice that "this material deserves a treat."

The video itself features a flashback to the first film where John ends up in an animal clinic and finds a pit bull puppy scheduled to be euthanized. John rescues the pup and takes him on a walk along the boardwalk where John used to visit with his late wife.

The rest of the trailer features scenes from John Wick: Chapter Two where John and the puppy are constantly interacting. At one point, Charon even asks for the dog's name, to which John answers, "No." Nevertheless, Charon is quick to note that the pup was "a good dog."

It's a sweet tribute to the awesome dog who stood with John through the second movie. However, the lack of new footage from Parabellum also has some people concerned about the fate of the dog. We're hoping that the nameless pup (we can probably start calling him "Good Dog" now) finds a good home in Chapter Three. Can we expect Charon to adopt him?

The synopsis for John Wick 3 reads as follows:

John Wick: Chapter Three - Parabellum hits theaters on May 17.
