What Does J.K. Rowling Think of HBO's Harry Potter Series Scripts?

In one of her posts on X last weekend, Rowling revealed that she has read the scripts for the first two episodes of the Harry Potter series and gave her seal of approval.

"I read the first two episodes of the forthcoming HBO Harry Potter series and they are SO, SO, SO GOOD!" she wrote.

The author also addressed a question from a fan on whether she is writing any of the episodes.

She responded, "No, but I've worked closely with the extremely talented writers."

While Rowling is not writing an episode of the series, she is heavily involved in the project as one of the executive producers.

Francesca Gardiner serves as the showrunner and head writer of the series, while Emmy winner Mark Mylod will direct some of the episodes. Production is currently scheduled to take place this summer in the UK.

What is the Latest Update on HBO's Harry Potter Series?

HBO finally revealed the three young actors who have been cast to play the Golden Trio in the Harry Potter TV series reboot.

Dominic McLaughlin will be playing the role of Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton is taking on the role of Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout is set to play Ron Weasley.

They joined the veteran actors who were already announced to be part of the series, such as John Lithgow, Nick Frost, Janet McTeer, and Paapa Essiedu.

All three were chosen out of the 30,000 young actors who auditioned to play the trio. HBO launched the casting call last year.

Recently, more casting announcements were also made as HBO unveiled the actors who will play the key characters of the Malfoys and the Dursleys.
