HBO has finally revealed the three young actors who have been cast to play the Golden Trio in the Harry Potter TV series reboot.
Dominic McLaughlin will be playing the role of Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton is taking on the role of Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout is set to play Ron Weasley.
All three were chosen out of the 30,000 young actors who auditioned to play the trio. HBO launched the casting call last year. Production is set to take place this summer.
"After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron," showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod said in a statement.
"The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It's been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there."
J.K. Rowling also shared her reaction to the casting news on X: "All three are wonderful. I couldn't be happier."
