The world is currently braced in anticipation for Disney to finally acquire 20th Century Fox since this could mean certain properties will be getting new films or TV shows. It's no secret that on top of the list of things to look forward to would be possible X-Men and Fantastic Four projects. Interestingly, Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb may have confirmed that new films will be developed after the merger.
Loeb recently spoke to ComicBook.com, admitting that he is still waiting for the deal to be finalized before making any comments. "Until the deal is finalized, there's no telling when we'll finally get to see the characters we've seen interact on the comic page share the screen," he said. Loeb did, however, express excitement about two particular properties and the projects they could lead to.
The merger might already be coming to a close but Fox is expected to release at least one more film. Dark Phoenix could be the last X-Men movie that will be released by Fox this year.
The synopsis for Dark Phoenix reads as follows:
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is scheduled for release on June 7.
