DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn has addressed the rumors surrounding the future of The Batman Part II and a live-action Teen Titans movie, following speculation that both projects were moving forward after Superman.
Since Gunn kickstarted the new DC Universe, expectations have been high for what’s coming next.
While he has already confirmed the lineup of films and TV series slated for both the big and small screens, fans remain convinced that their favorite Caped Crusader and superhero team could soon be in development.
Will There Be Teen Titans Live-Action Movie?

The live-action Teen Titans movie is widely believed to be part of DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, which aims to establish the universe and its characters as part of the new DCU storyline.
There have even been claims that the film will feature the 2003 Teen Titans animated series lineup, with Damian Wayne rumored to be the version of Robin portrayed in the movie.
However, in response to the relentless speculation, Gunn had only one thing to say—they’re not true.
“Anything you've heard about that movie [Teen Titans] is made up or a guess,” he wrote on Threads. “No one in the world knows anything about the concept for the story except four people.”
He further confirmed that the movie currently has no script and, as of now, is not a priority for the studio.
While Ana Nogueira was announced as the screenwriter for Teen Titans earlier in 2024, no significant progress has been made, as she is still focused on writing the new Wonder Woman film.
In short, Teen Titans remains in the very early stages of development, with no established storyline or production timeline at this point.
Will There Be The Batman 2?

Gunn also addressed the speculation surrounding The Batman 2. Unlike Teen Titans, the sequel is expected to move into production soon following multiple delays and is currently slated for a 2027 release.
That said, when a fan asked whether the villain Hush would appear in the new movie, Gunn was quick to set the record straight.
“Again, everything you've heard is a total guess or made up,” he also wrote on Threads.
The filmmaker confirmed that filming will officially begin “immediately” after the script is finalized, with Robert Pattinson returning to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne / Batman.
With no completed script yet, nothing is set in stone—no official story details or casting decisions have been announced.
As for what’s next in the DCU, Peacemaker Season 2 is the next project scheduled for release, premiering on August 21 on HBO Max in the U.S. and Sky in the U.K.
