James Gunn revealed that Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt recently visited the set of Superman.
Filming is still underway for the DCU movie which will introduce David Corenswet as the new Man of Steel. It is also set to be the first theatrical project in the new franchise that Gunn and Peter Safran are spearheading.
While the plot details are currently under wraps, Gunn has been sharing a couple of details regarding the highly-anticipated movie and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the project for the past few months.
Chris Pratt Visited the Set of Superman
In his recent post on Instagram, Gunn shared a photo of Pratt and his friends visiting the set of Superman.
"Always nice to have friends visiting set," he wrote in the caption.
Some fans might find this photo interesting since Pratt has been rumored to have a major role in the DCU with Booster Gold being the character that fans would love to see him play in the franchise.
However, it is likely that Pratt was only a visitor on the set since he is friends with Gunn thanks to their collaboration in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy and this doesn't indicate that he will be joining the DCU.
We've also seen in past Gunn productions that he always invites his friends to visit his sets regardless of their involvement in the franchise or not.
In a recent interview, Pratt iterated his interest to join the DCU franchise while continue playing Star-Lord in the MCU at the same time.
"Well, it probably make more sense that I would be Star-Lord again. But anything is possible, and especially with James over at DC. Maybe there's something that would be right over there. Maybe both. How about both? Let's do both. I think it's 100% both," he said.
While the photo doesn't indicate Pratt's official involvement in the DCU, fans can still hope that he will be joining the franchise someday once Gunn has found a perfect role for him.
Superman is slated for release in theaters on July 11, 2025.
