James Bond Actor Daniel Craig Admits Wanting to be Superman or Spider-Man

It's no secret that Daniel Craig is doing such a great job playing James Bond in the current series of 007 films. However, it looks like the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo actor actually wanted to be somebody else when he was growing up. Craig has just admitted that he wanted to become a superhero like Superman or Spider-Man instead.

Craig recently spoke to Saga magazine about his upcoming James Bond film No Time to Die and the Casino Royale actor admitted he never really thought of playing the British spy when he was just a little boy (via Metro).

"People are always saying to me, 'You must have dreamed of playing James Bond when you were a kid,'" Craig said before adding, "The answer is no. I never did. I dreamed of being all sorts of other things – Superman, Spider-Man, the Invisible Man, even a good old-fashioned cowboy. But Bond, not so much, which seems ironic now."

It's not a surprise that Craig wanted to be a superhero when he was a child. After all, every kid wants to be someone with superpowers, right? James Bond doesn't really have any special powers and is someone you might aspire to be when you get a little older.

Although he never expected to play 007 when he grew up, Craig is still happy to be part of the franchise.

"I've been lucky enough to land one of the best roles in movies. There's been no downside to playing Bond," he stated.

Sadly, we'll have to wait a little longer to see Craig play 007 one last time. The premiere of No Time to Die has been pushed back to November 25 due to the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19).
