People We Meet on Vacation may have just dropped on Netflix, but could the streamer get early confirmation that a sequel for Poppy and Alex, after confirming their feelings for one another, is on the way? Considering that the ending fixed their rift and established a long-distance relationship, there's more to it than meets the eye, right?

Will There Be a Sequel to People We Meet on Vacation?
Poppy (played by Emily Bader) and Alex (Tom Blyth) ended up confessing their true, unspoken feelings to one another after jumping through miscommunication and distance. The film ended with Poppy running after Alex, confessing her fears, and eventually, the two started living together in New York.
Poppy continued her writings, while Alex had taken up a teaching job at Sarah Lawrence College. But given the fanbase's dedication and endless possibilities for fans of the couple, could they potentially return for a sequel?
As of writing, there is no confirmed sequel for People We Meet on Vacation, but for two valid reasons: firstly, it has just been released on the streamer, and secondly, the original novel only comes with one ending from one book.
However, the author herself said she would consider spin-offs more, especially for the couples she wrote about previously.
Emily Henry fans are well aware that this is not the only novel written by her. In fact, Henry's novels are actually landing a streaming deal with Netflix pretty soon!
Netflix Strikes Deal with Emily Henry For More Book Adaptations

While fans might not find a People We Meet on Vacation 2, Emily Henry struck a deal with Netflix to announce two forthcoming films based on the rom-com author's novels, namely: Funny Story and Happy Place.
"I genuinely couldn't be more excited to work on the adaptations of Happy Place and Funny Story with Netflix," Henry told Tudum, "The entire team there has been so passionate about, dedicated to, and supportive of People We Meet on Vacation from the jump, and getting to do it all over again—this time writing the scripts myself—has been a thrill."
Emily Henry's roster also consists of Book Lovers, Beach Read, and the Great Big Beautiful Life, all of which her massive cult following can't wait to see adapted, even on the small screens.
In the meantime, fans can stream People We Meet on Vacation on Netflix.
